Re-classification of WDS 17592-3656 HJ 5000AB from Binary Star to Optical Double Using Gaia DR3 Data

Abstract

17592-3656 HJ 5000 has AB and AC components in the Washington Double Star Catalog. 17592-3656 HJ 5000AB and AC were imaged using the Las Cumbres Observatory (LCO) Global Telescope Network. Calibrated images were obtained and analysed using the software AstroImageJ to determine position angle, separation and delta magnitude. Orbital parameter optimization was performed on 17592-3656 HJ 5000AB using Speckle ToolBox. Parallax data on 17592-3656 HJ 5000AC indicates it is an optical pair.
