Astrometric Measurement of WDS11400-3806 DUN 114 with Analysis using GAIA DR3 data
Abstract
The nature of 11400-3806 DUN 114 was investigated using an updated astrometric measure and GAIA DR3 data. DUN 114 was imaged using the Las Cumbres Observatory Global Network of Telescopes. Calibrated images were obtained and these were analysed using the software AstroImageJ to determine separation, position angle and delta magnitude. The mean physical distance separation, minimum and maximum distances between the A and B components was calculated using GAIA DR3 parallax data and the measure of apparent separation reported in this paper. The angle between each of the components’ space velocity vectors in 3D space and Ebinding, were calculated. The analysis favours DUN114 to be an optical pair rather than a binary system.
