Astrometric measurements of WDS 18428+5938

Abstract

This paper contains updates to the astrometric measurements of the double star system WDS 18428+5938 STF 2398 AB. After obtaining images through the Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope network (LCO), we used the software AstroImageJ to analyze the images. We measured a position angle of 184.74° and a separation of 10.90″. We affirmed the classification of the system as a physical system using parallax and proper motion values from the GAIA Data Release 3, which suggest that the system has a physical relationship. The movement of the system appears to follow the previously established orbital trend.
